5 reasons to choose PC over Mac

1. Price

The most obvious advantage to going with a PC is the price difference. Today you can buy a PC with the latest components for under $500. On the other hand the least expensive Mac is the Mac mini at $600. If you go for the full size Mac with an actual screen you are looking at 20″ iMac for $1200. Sure Apple puts a lot of time and money into design and most Macs are gorgeous… but most people have no need for an all aluminum body… they need a cheap computer they can get work done with. They need a PC!

2. Customization

With a Mac you choose from the few options Apple offers. With a PC the possibilities are endless. You can even build your own PC customizing it for you specific needs. Want a blueray player? Want multiple graphics cards? Since no one company controls the PC market competition makes for a huge array of options. Whatever you want chances are you can find a PC that meets your needs.

3. Gaming

Although Macs have come a long way in the gaming world PCs still rule! If you are an avid gamer you will want to go with a PC. Most of today’s hottest games are made to run on Windows and most offer no Mac version (just go take a look at the Mac software area at your local store). PCs also offer more graphic options with large video graphics companies releasing the latest and greatest cards for the PC. You will need the latest and greatest graphics cards to play some of the newest games with optimal performance.

4. Compatibility

Let’s face it because PC are more prevalent software developers usually create software for the PC not the Mac. So if you don’t want to deal with having to find alternative programs that do what you want a PC is probably for you. There is also an abundance of freeware applications available for the PC.

5. XBOX 360

If you own an Xbox 360 it integrates seamlessly with your media center PC. Stream audio, video etc right from your PC to your big screen via your Xbox. Although there are hacks to sort of kind of make it work on the Mac on the PC it just works.
